To finally remove all doubt that Shanghai is the best city in China -- nay, the world -- thousands of participants put on facial masks at the same time, bringing our fair city yet another coveted world record.

Somehow, China News fails to actually report the exact number of people present at this historical effort. However, the previous record was held by a mere 1,231 people in Guangdong and "thousands" certainly smashes that. Victory!

The only question now is which Guinness world record should be shattered next? World's largest youtiao? World's longest kite? World's largest prenatal yoga class? With enough people with spare time to burn, the sky's the limit!
